Music & Studio
Ember Music EmberStudio has been on the go now since 1995 and the main driving force behind it has been my self. Im Gerald s. MacNaught also known as "Gilby" my idea was to create a working environment for artists to work with new forms of instrument both acoustic and digital. For the last three mounths I have been working on building a ReacTable for use in my studio using the new Access Virus TI Snow as the sound engine. This revolutionary machine has been created to help people understand the relationships between the individual componants of monophonic synthesis and lets any one regardless of skill to work freely with sound to produce "ambient music" I have always made music in one form or another with what ever I could lay my hands on, not always using one style or method, this has lead theEmber Music majority of labels to ignore my work saying that I should pick a type of music and stick to it. So with the advent of the net now it can do things my way and get a wide audience with out going on bended nee to some one who is only going to turn round and tell me "you sould have done it this way". For I belive even to this day that making artists learn the same thing and do these things in the same way breeds a half hearted and stale result. However this has now moved on to the multimedia including computer based graphics. And now im working with marcel on the "LAMDA RISING" project making a film using basic video editting software and "Hammer Editor" in conjunction with the HafeLife2 Gaming Engine.

station Being more involed with music than playing games or creating maps, when Marcel who had created some CounterStrike movies using BMP2AVI, Virtual Dub, Adobe Premiere 6.5, saw some of the artwork that I had drawn for my own projects and asked me if I would have a go at doing some concept drawings for a new map so that his next movie would have a dagree of originality the only problem was that although I have used 3d cad drawing programs to create structures I had never used any of this knollage to make a movie and Marcel had always used the standard maps. So from start to finish this whole project has been a learning process. So now on to the instruments I use for creating the music and recording audio.

The next album will only include tracks for the film and will be called strangely enuogh "LAMDA RISING" The future of the "Lamda Rising Team" I hope it will continue to grow, not just the project but the team as well. EmberStudio will now become just the audio side of a ever growing "Multimedia Cyber Firm" able to move with the times keeping fresh ideas comming in.

Ember Music At the moment im not just making music because there are only two of us comitted to the project we are having to do a multitude of things all of the "concept art" also came from me including the logo with the "lamda" symbol and the letter "R" on a hexaganal background witch in turn was made in to a 3d image by "MST|msthavoc" but not one of use is in the industry, yes well watch this space.
