![]() Hello and welcome to our water tutorial. In this tutorial you will learn how to create realistic water. First of all we need a room where we can put in the water. This could be look like this. ![]() Now we will create a block in the size the waterplace should be with the texture "NoDraw". To use this texture type "Nodaw" in your filter of the texture browser.
![]() Here is an example.
![]() Now we have to get a water texture on the top of the block. (Use nature/water_canals03) [Attention:] All water textures with "_beneath" or "_bottom" in the end you can not use for this. ![]() Now we have to place a water_lod_control with the Entity Tool on the water.
![]() The last thing we have to do is to place a env_cubemap on the water. Open the properties with STRG+A or rightclick then "properties". Choose the brush faces of the water. Click on "pick" and click on the water texture. Now a yellow line should be in the middle of the water.
![]() Now place env_cubemap and water_lod_control on the top of the water. That is everything we have to do.
![]() Thats it! This is how your water should look like ingame.
![]() ![]() Thank you for reading this Tutorial. We hope that you have enjoyed it and everything works fine. |
